Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace

This qualification is designed to provide employees from any sector with a basic understanding of the principles of health and safety in any workplace environment. The aim of this qualification is to provide a basic knowledge and understanding of the principles of health and safety and how to apply them in the workplace.

This qualification provides trainees with knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of health and safety and their legal and moral responsibilities for their own and others' health and safety. It emphasises the importance of identifying and controlling potential workplace hazards and of creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, working environment.

This is a short programme usually delivered over one day with a 45 minute “multiple choice” exam at the end.
